Recently, it was found that METTL1 and WDR4 were significantly up-regulated in lung cancer tissues and played an oncogenic role in lung cancer via mediating m7G tRNA modification and modulated the translation of mRNAs, especially METTL1-mediated m7G tRNA modification and m7G codon usage promoted mRNA translation and lung cancer progression (Ma et al., 2021). Here, METTL1 is linked to lung carcinoma.
