HAVCR1 and cancer: The Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor (HAVCR1), also known as T-cell immunoglobulin mucin receptor 1 (TIM-1) and kidney injury molecule 1 (KIM-1), has been established to play an important role in intercellular interactions, such as recognition, immune activation, tight junction, even cancer biology (Telford et al., 2017; Ginès et al., 2018; Evans and Liu, 2020).
