HMGB3 has low or no expression in normal adult tissues but high expression in various kinds of tumor tissues, including esophageal cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, gastric adenocarcinoma, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, and glioma (Gong et al., 2013; Li et al., 2015; Yamada et al., 2018; Gu et al., 2019; Lv et al., 2019; Xie et al., 2020; Yin and Liu, 2020). This evidence concerns the gene HMGB3 and breast carcinoma.
