TNF and cancer: Cancer-associated adipocytes release free fatty acids into the TME [66], increase interstitial stiffness in breast adipose tissue [67], and enhance secretion of cytokines such as interleukin (IL)-6, interleukin (IL)-8, monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFα), that promote inflammation [68].
