CYP8B1 and hydrops fetalis: HF feeding did not disturb BA synthesis regulators, such as FXR-SHP or FXR-FGF15 (data not shown), but one of the key BA synthesis enzymes (Cyp8b1) was increased in the liver of HF mice, suggesting that HF may change the ratio of CA and CDCA synthesized by the liver, which leads to disturbed BA metabolism.
