The downregulation of DYNC2H1 (Dynein Cytoplasmic 2 Heavy Chain 1) was reported in breast cancer (Kondelin et al., 2018), and DYNC2H1 is a critical gene for the assembly of primary cilia, microtubule-based organelles that protrude from the cell surface, which play a critical role in development and disease through regulation of signaling pathways including the Hedgehog pathway.
