Similar with the results in mouse primary hepatocytes, chronic administration of Alisol B significantly upregulated the impaired mRNA level of RARα, decreased CD36 expression along with the down-regulation of HNF4α and PPARγ, and further suppressed phosphorylation of JNK1/2 and NF-κB in both DIO+CCl4 and CDA-diet-induced NASH mice. This evidence concerns the gene CD36 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
