Between patient groups divided by VEGF median value (Table 3), no statistical difference was found between sociodemographic data (age, gender, daily smokers, education in years, BMI, presence of rheumatic diseases in family), as well as clinical variables such as presence of comorbidities, duration of joint pain and swelling in months, duration of morning stiffness, patient’s joint pain VAS, patient’s global VAS, physician’s global VAS, MHAQ score, or DAS 28 score. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and rheumatic disorder.
