An important subset of T-cell lymphomas are lymphomas of CD4+ T-follicular helper (TFH) origin, whose proliferation is thought to lead to the development of angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), PTCL-FH type, and some follicular lymphomas and cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCLs). The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
