The MAGE family consists of about 60 genes defined by a common conserved MAGE homology domain (MHD), including type I: MAGE-A, -B, and -C and type II: MAGE-D, -E, -F, -G, -H, -L2 and Necdin families, serving as cancer biomarkers and immunotherapeutic targets due to their specific expression pattern in various cancers [38,46].
