The influence of diet-induced hypercholesterolemia on P2X7-induced cellular responses was evaluated in CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell subsets from mice fed either a normal diet or a HFC diet for 16 and 24 weeks at various differentiation stages by their ability to form non-selective P2X7 pores, cleave homing CD62L molecules, externalize PS, and enter cell death following stimulation with 500 μM eATP (Figure 6, Figure 7 and Figure A3).
