Regarding the differential expression of the isoforms, our findings are consistent with studies showing that the p53 isoform expression differs from tumour to tumour, with some truncated TP53 breast cancers expressing wild-type p53 isoforms [4], and that p53 isoform expression may not be associated with TP53 mutation status or clinicopathological parameters [18]. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and neoplasm.
