NUPR1 and neoplasm: Some of these, such as DMD, MDB1, NUPR1 and JUND, have been already well described as tumor suppressors or oncogenes [47,60,67,70], whereas the others do not officially belong to any of these two categories and they have been proposed as key regulators in biological processes such as cell proliferation, migration and cancer development and progression [42,43,48,52,53,59,61,62,68,69].
