Entrectinib (Genetech, Roche) was the first drug developed against NTRK fusions, which also targets ALK and ROS1 fusion proteins, and was designated as an orphan drug for NTRK fusion-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and colorectal cancer (CRC) by the FDA in 2015 [5,6]. The gene discussed is ROS1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
