Even if the RNA markers alone generate an AUC similar to CL for sPTL/PPROM ≤ 32 weeks, the information would be available at least one month earlier than CL, and its combination with NAMPT and APOA1 has the potential to provide from a single maternal blood sample prognostic information on the three major pregnancy disorders leading to sPTB (sPTL, PPROM, and EOP < 34 weeks) rather than just two like CL. This evidence concerns the gene NAMPT and preterm premature rupture of the membranes.
