Based on our reported results, we propose that depression, cognitive impairment including memory deficits, and sleep disturbances in symptomatic women with SBIs are associated with dysregulation of the circulating levels of functional autoantibodies targeting the autonomic nervous system receptors such as α and β adrenergic receptors, muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, endothelin receptor type A, and type 1 angiotensin II receptors. Here, AGTR1 is linked to depressive symptom measurement.
