Therefore, in this pilot study, we used SWATH analysis to investigate the proteomic biomarkers in anti-Ro/SSA asymptomatic patients (carrier SSA+) and we compared their salivary proteome with patients with fully expressed SS, in order to investigate the common early biomarkers that are potentially able to be translated into clinical practice for an early diagnosis of Sjögren’s syndrome.
