Further analysis showed that the synergistic anti-colon cancer effect exhibited by curcumin and luteolin was mediated through the downregulation of the effector protein Notch1, to induce growth cycle arrest, promote apoptosis, and TGF-β signaling inhibits angiogenesis and invasion in vitro and in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and malignant colon neoplasm.
