(2021) demonstrate that IDRs harbored within NUP98-HOXA9, an oncogenic transcription factor chimera recurrently found in a subset of leukemias, form phase-separated condensates to enhance the binding of NUP98-HOXA9 TF to its genomic targets and facilitate long-distance enhancer–promoter looping at proto-oncogenes (Figure 2C) [145].
