According with these studies and meta-analyses, we have found that participants for whom the final composite outcome was recorded presented with significantly higher values of CRP (108.9 [96.5] mg/L vs. 70.6 [70.3] mg/L; p < 0.001) and lower values of SA (3.5 [0.6] g/dL vs. 3.8 [0.5] g/dL; p < 0.001), as well as a higher prevalence of hypoalbuminemia (42.4% vs. 21.2%; p < 0.001), defined as an SA <3.5 g/d. Here, CRP is linked to Hypoalbuminemia.
