A study on osteosarcoma revealed that TUT1 inhibits the expression of peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) and sterol regulatory element binding transcription factor 1 (SREBP-1c), which are critical for controlling lipogenesis by the upregulation of miRNA-24 and miRNA-29a, suggesting that TUT1 acts as a tumor suppressor in osteosarcoma [69]. This evidence concerns the gene TUT1 and neoplasm.
