After adjusting for age, sex, and BMI, the prediabetes and T2DM group had a significantly higher waist circumference, systolic and diastolic BP, fasting glucose, insulin, HOMA-IR, HbA1c, TG, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), adiponectin, gamma-glutamyl transferase (γGTP), MDA, ox-LDL, and 8-epi-PGF2α than those of the control group (Table 1).
