As regards breast cancer, no studies on the effect of neuronal NOS (nNOS/NOS1) are reported in the literature; however, it was demonstrated how NOS1AP is able to bind other proteins, SCRIB and VANGL1, regulating different features of breast cancer cells including cell polarity, migration, and progression suggesting how this protein could be involved in the pathogenesis of this tumor when dysregulated [307]. This evidence concerns the gene NOS1 and neoplasm.
