EGFR and infection: By analyzing the high-throughput sequence data, 39 DEmiRNAs, including 13 novel microRNAs, were observed among the three developmental stages, which participated in the bacterial invasion of the epithelial cell pathway, ErbB signaling pathway, sphingolipid signaling pathway, etc. The enrichment of these pathways reflected that DEmiRNAs played a major role in the regulation of the innate immune response to pathogenic infection, cell proliferation, cell differentiation, cell motility, and cell survival of the colonic epithelium.
