Another study analyzed the NSCLC tissues and adjacent normal tissues of 12 patients and found that the degree of TMEM88 methylation in NSCLC tissues (82.2% ± 10.3%) was higher than that in normal tissues (65.9% ± 7.2%, P < 0.01), which was negatively correlated with overall survival (P = 0.021) (28).
