Of the 22 patients who died, 63.6% (n = 14) were males, in the age group 40-49 (n = 7; 31.8%), with TB meningitis (n = 12; 54.5%), were HIV positive (n = 20; 90.9%), had CD4 cell count <100 cells/mm3 (5%), were on ART (n = 14; 63.6%), and had GCS of 9-14 (n = 13; 59.0%). Here, CD4 is linked to meningeal tuberculosis.
