The ATPase family AAA domain-containing protein 3 (ATAD3) proteins (ATAD3A and ATAD3B) regulate MAMs by interacting with GRP78/BiP-Wiskoff-Aldrich syndrome protein family member 3 (WASF3) complex, in which WASF3 acts as a bridge and has been identified in breast cancer cells (Baudier, 2018). This evidence concerns the gene WASF3 and breast cancer.
