These include the observations that mitotic kinesins are upregulated in aggressive meningioma and in malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (Nassiri et al., 2021; Terribas et al., 2020), that Kif11 inhibitors are active against meningioma (Jungwirth et al., 2021), and that upregulation of another mitotic kinesin, Kif20A, is associated with worse outcomes in male patients with GBM (Yang et al., 2019).
