In our study, the factors independently associated with AKI were as follows: previous diagnosis of CKD (odds ratio, OR: 10.8; 95% confidence interval, CI: 1.02-116.1; P = 0.04), use of norepinephrine (OR: 7.3; 95% CI: 2.1-25.8; P = 0.002), diabetes mellitus (OR: 2.9; 95% CI: 1.05-8.3; P = 0.03), serum CRP level (OR: 1.005; 95% CI: 1.001-1.009; P = 0.01) and COVID severity index based on chest CT (OR: 1.09; 95% CI: 0.99-1.21; statistical trend, P = 0.07) (Table 5). Here, CRP is linked to acute kidney injury.
