However, the proportion of Treg cells was markedly higher in Rg1, ADSC, and ADSC + Rg1 groups when compared with the DSS group, indicating that Rg1 and ADSC administration selectively upregulated the levels of Tregs and downregulated the proportion of Th17 cells in DSS-induced colitis, and thus improving the Treg/Th17 balance and maintaining intestinal homeostasis (Fig. 3a, d, f).
