The associations with prostate cancer risk were also directionally consistent when IGF-I was proxied by the cis-SNP (rs5742653) (1.45: 1.16, 1.83; P = 0.001; 1.45: 0.96–2.19; P = 0.08; and 2.11: 1.16, 3.83; P = 0.01, for overall, aggressive and early-onset disease, respectively) (Figure 1).
