Results of KEGG analysis showed that upregulated DEGs were particularly enriched in ECM-receptor interaction, focal adhesion, protein digestion and absorption, PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, amoebiasis, and platelet activation (Figure 3(a)), while downregulated DEGs in gastric acid secretion, retinol metabolism, chemical carcinogenesis, collecting duct acid secretion, glycolysis/gluconeogenesis, drug metabolism-cytochrome P450, metabolism of xenobiotics by cytochrome P450, and metabolic pathways (Figure 3(b) and Table 3, P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and amebiasis.
