In thyroid cancer, the alternate allele for EZH2 was associated with lower expression of the gene and consequently longer progression-free survival (hazard ratio, HR, from univariate Cox proportional hazards model = 0.68; 95% confidence interval, CI = 0.47–1.00) consistent with the oncogenic role of EZH2 in cancer. Here, EZH2 is linked to thyroid gland carcinoma.
