In the setting of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), higher levels of β-catenin, Ser675-phospho-β-catenin and GSK-3α were found in AML cells from intermediate- or poor-risk patients and the patients presenting with a higher activity of Wnt/β-catenin showed a shorter progression-free survival [42]. Here, GSK3A is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
