In the present study, considering the identified mutations in APC, CTNNB1, NRAS, PIK3CA, AKT2, and BRAF genes in our CRC patients, the dysregulation of the Angiogenesis pathway could be attributed to the interaction between Wnt/β-catenin, PI3K/AKT/mTOR, and MAPK signaling pathways, and this is in agreement with Lee et al. and Jeong et al. [48,112,113]. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and colorectal carcinoma.
