Kai X et al., by observing the effects of different concentrations of adenosine (0, 1.5, 3.0, 4.5 mmol/L) and treatment time (24, 48, 72, 96 h) on the proliferation, apoptosis, and HMLH1 expression of human colorectal cancer cell SW480, found that after treating colorectal cancer cells with different concentrations of adenosine, the hypermethylation of tumor suppressor genes hMLH1 was reversed and inhibited the proliferation of tumor cells. The gene discussed is MLH1; the disease is colorectal cancer.
