We recently reported that a Modified Mediterranean Ketogenic (MMK) was associated with increases in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) Aβ42 and decreases in tau, as well as reductions in CSF neurofilament light (NFL), neurogranin, and soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2 (sTREM) in older adults at risk for AD (Neth et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene NEFL and Alzheimer disease.
