In order to check for the functional role of FAT1 in the modulation of immunosuppressive mediators in cancer cells, we generated short-term primary cultures from human glioma tumors (PC-A: grade II oligodendroglioma; and PC-B: grade IV GBM) (Table S1 and Figure 2A) and analyzed the effect of siRNA-mediated transient knockdown of FAT1 gene on the expression of TGF-β1 and TGF-β2 and their downstream target, Serpine1. The gene discussed is FAT1; the disease is cancer.
