Interestingly, “MAPK signaling pathway,” “PI3K-Akt signaling pathway,” “NF-kB signaling pathway,” “TGF-beta signaling pathway,” and “Wnt signaling pathway” have been reported to be essential for OA-immune evasion in human cartilage tissue (33–37), but these pathways were rarely reported in synovium with OA, and these pathways are also involved in other specific immuno-associated disease, such as in RA, SLE, and AS, many of which have shown optimistic response on therapy. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and rheumatoid arthritis.
