Notably, immunofluorescence analysis of tumor sections at the end of the experiment showed an increased amount of dead cells in treated tumors (as assessed by TUNEL assay) and a strong increase of CRIPTO expression (Figure 4B, middle and right panels), indicating that chemotherapy induces CRIPTO expression also in vivo in NSCLC xenografts. Here, CRIPTO is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
