When CONUT was applied, 21% (n. 31) of patients showed moderate–severe malnutrition, and 58% (n. 83) had light malnutrition (Figure 1B) with regard to the components of the CONUT, low serum albumin was found in 57% (n. 82), low total serum cholesterol in 71% (n. 102), and low blood absolute lymphocyte count in 30% (n. 43) of the study sample. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and malnutrition.
