A reciprocal role of activation between invadopodia and GBM EVs has been described, in which invadopodia stimulate EV release from GBM cells and EVs trigger invadopodia synthesis and maturation [39], primarily through the release of several proteins derived from GBM EVs such as Annexin A1 (ANXA1), integrin beta 1 (ITGB1), and actin-related protein 3 (ACTR3) [28]. Here, ANXA1 is linked to glioblastoma.
