FAM111A and autosomal dominant Kenny-Caffey syndrome: Serum magnesium (Mg2+) concentration is low in KCS2 patients, but was not altered in the Fam111a−/− mice compared to Fam111a+/+ and Fam111a+/− groups (1.21 ± 0.03 vs 1.08 ± 0.05 and 1.09 ± 0.03 mmol/L, respectively; p = 0.062 using one way ANOVA).
