Veterans who had melanoma primary tumor in the extremities were at increased odds of NRAS mutation than those in the trunk (OR = 2.03, 95% CI 0.79–5.20) while those with head/neck melanoma were at decreased odds (OR = 0.28, 95% CI 0.06–1.25) compared to those with trunk melanoma (p = 0.02) as seen in other studies (22–24). Here, NRAS is linked to melanoma.
