VEGFA and retinopathy of prematurity: In our study, comparing the reactivation of eyes treated with laser or anti-VEGF agents, we found that in zone I ROP and A-ROP, eyes treated with anti-VEGF agents (47%) were less likely to experience reactivation than those treated with laser ablation (66%, P < 0.001), which was in accordance with the BEAT-ROP study (21) (3.2 vs. 35% for zone I ROP).
