Across cancer types, tumors have been identified in six immune subtypes: wound healing (C1), IFN-γ dominant (C2), inflammatory (C3), lymphocyte depleted (C4), immunologically quiet (C5), and TGF-β dominant (C6), characterized by differences in molecular and immune features, and these subtypes are related to the survival of patients (Thorsson et al., 2018). Here, IFNG is linked to cancer.
