Studies have shown that Vti1a plays a substantial role in some neurological disorders (Table 1); Vti1a gene variants and fusion transcripts with adjacent genes are involved in gliomas (Wang et al., 2017); Vti1a plays a key role hepatic encephalopathy (Popek et al., 2018) by regulating spontaneous neurotransmitter transmission. This evidence concerns the gene VTI1A and central nervous system cancer.
