MMP9 and neoplasm: The results showed that Lyc (5 mg/kg) alone could significantly inhibit MMP-2 and MMP-9 enzyme activities as compared to the tumor control group as the inhibition rates were 12.9% and 8.6%, respectively (P < 0.05, Figure 4; Supplementary Table S2); SF (30 mg/kg) given alone also significantly inhibited MMP-2 and MMP-9 enzyme activities as compared to the tumor control group as the inhibition rates were 24.1% and 24.9% (P < 0.05, Figure 4; Supplementary Table S2).
