We found a strong correlation between ANGPTL4 and TRL-C only in the high SUA group (r = 0.717, p = 0.000) and not in subjects with low SUA levels (r = −0.88, p = 0.604), indicating ANGPTL4 may play a role in TRL-C metabolism in patients with hyperuricemia and thus mediate SUA-associated dyslipidemia. This evidence concerns the gene ANGPTL4 and hyperuricemia.
