At present, there are a variety of antidiabetic drugs in addition to the hypoglycemic effect, which also have many cardiac and renal benefits, such as SGLT-2 inhibitors (SGLT-2i) (7–14) and GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) (14, 15), which have been widely recommended for patients with ASCVD or chronic kidney disease (CKD) (3, 4, 16, 17).
